Distance Learning Registration
Welcome to the Distance Learning Courses of University of Minho. In this page you will find guidelines to help you during the registration process, providing you with detailed information, documentation and the necessary requirements to complete your registration.
In order to register for the Geopark course you need to confirm that you meet the necessary requirements to attend the course, namely, have a computer and internet access. Before you begin the registration process, make sure you have your updated CV (PDF) and identification document (citizen card, passport or a national identity card) nearby. In addition to this documentation, you must fill out the Registration Form online
Begin the Registration
When you are ready to begin your registration click "Register".
You will be redirected to UMinho's Online Store where the Distance Learning Registrations are made.
Step 1: register on store.uminho.pt
Step 2: log in
Step 3: click Education -> Courses -> Select a course
Step 4: Upload all the required documents and click "Apply".
Once you have applied you will receive a message informing you that your application has been received.
The Distance Learning Team will verify your application and in case you are selected, you will receive an email with instructions concerning the course's registration payment.
Step 5: course's registration payment
After completing the previous steps, the course registration process is finished.
What happens after your registration?
After completing your registration, you will receive an email informing you that you have successfully registered. Prior to the start of the course, you will receive a message with login instructions so you can access the e-learning platform (Blackboard).
The Registration Form online has two pages and some fields, marked with an asterisk, that are required.
Incomplete registration applications will not be considered, namely if they lack relevant elements for a correct assessment and the application of selection procedures, or if they are sent after the established deadline.
During the analysis of the applications, candidates may be asked to present additional information concerning the documents submitted during the registration process and/or submit further information.
In case you plan to register for more than one course you must follow the same process for each course separately.
You will be informed of the selection's process result through the email given during the registration process.
The payment shall be made through the option chosen in the Online Store. The payment receipt will be sent to the email specified in the registration process.
The information given during the application and registration process will be used by the Academic Services, the Teaching Support Office and the university Schools.
You should consult the website http://cursosonline.uminho.pt and see the specific requirements for each course.
University of Minho stores data concerning all its students. We will use the information on your registration form to manage your registration and compile statistical data that might be given to the Ministry of Education or to the Assessment and Accreditation Agency for Higher Education.
If your application is accepted we will also use the information gathered to manage your distance learning file, monitor your digital presence, your performance throughout the course and provide you with the necessary support.
